One Dead Phone… (>_<)

A few days before Christmas and lots of things to do.. lots of calls and text messages to send, a lot of activities to plan and set… and what happens?! My phone dies out on me four days before Christmas!! I was crippled for the whole four day weekend!! So now you know why I wasn’t able to reply to some of your messages. Luckily I was able to borrow a spare phone… but 150+ contacts ALL GONE!! ARGH!!! (X___x)

The phone was with Nokia Care Center the whole weekend and found out today that the phone OS crashed. Yah, I know that part… White Screen of Death for nokia phone is the answer. Seems like that this is known problem for symbian phones like Ngage, this happens when the phone memory is filled to capacity and the phone OS can’t find any space to initialize the phone at startup. I know for a fact if there is memory, eventhough without turning the phone, you can access it using some special tool or mod (a la MMC card). But they wont because of privacy issues and virus issues. Only possible fix? Flash the phone and reset to factory settings! *Sigh* What a waste of technology… tsk tsk tsk…

The Nokia Center staff also said that there is a BIG chance that flashing the phone may even BRICK it and render the phone useless! Well my phone’s almost screwed… unless its properly flashed and I still have the mood to use it. 3 1/2 years of use with no problems then this happens… maybe its a sign that I need a new phone. =p

The K850i, Nokia E51 and iPhone looks promising but still, my Ngage may still be resurrected from the dead. =)

Any suggestions? iPhone will have to wait.. costs to much, which leaves me with Ericsson K850i and Nokia E51
