Been busy for a while with regards to projects piling up and deadlines getting nearer, life… Well for the time being, I restarted my other blog, slickdev, for my codes, scripts and mods. Also tips and tricks I learned along the way I was developing software and managing servers. Visit it sometime and tell me what you think.

I got bored with my current winxp desktop layout and done some renovation to look a bit like a mac and added some nifty cpu/network/hdd/mp3 monitoring plugins on top of my desktop.

As of March 5, 2008… Cebu officially has Tekken 6!!

Edit: Seems like I lost the cables for my phone, I can’t transfer the images. Taking the tiny SD MICRO from my phone is a pain in the butt.

Looking back in the good old days where high speed internet was still a 28000 baud modem, consoles were as large as two shoe boxes side-by-side, TVs were as large as my current monitor, and games were 2-dimensional colored dots. *Sigh* The Good-Old-Days…

I started craving for the old games I played when I was young, especially Mario! Simple games that were fun and enjoyable, unlike the console we are using now that would have been used in a research lab looking for the cure of AIDS or HIV or what-not 15 years ago…

Went around the inter-web, googling for emulators and ROMS to play those old games. What luck that I happen to find a site the offered A LOT of those old school games from SNES. I was in heaven!! Mario! Megaman 1 – 6! Island Adventure 1-2! Ice Climber!! BATTLE CITY!!

What’s better than this? I don’t need to download any emulator to run the games! It runs off an emulated SNES off java applet! Thank You JAVA!!

Starcraft 2 + Red Alert 3 = RTS Overload!!!

Starcraft 2 was announced in late 2007… every fan went ballistic!!

And now…. EA just announced Red Alert 3!!!

The same 2 faction, Allied and Soviet, plus a new 3rd faction is to be included!!

I’m very excited!!! My gaming system at home is ready and waiting ^__^

What a month and what a new year…

Remember my phone that died out on me last December? Got it fixed last December, minus the 3 1/2 years worth of contacts and messages saved in the phone’s memory. X_x Though, it may have been a ‘mix’ blessing in disguise, mix in a sense I have to shell out a few more thousand cold hard cash to purchase a new phone. Hahaha! ah well, though the new phone is also what I really wanted. A new Nokia E51 business phone… the price was not even that high! Would have picked the Ericsson K850 but the price tag was too much, 20k+ (ouch!).

Now to the specs… “candy bar” style, silver color scheme, aluminum frame and casing, 130mb build-in phone memory, expandable to 4gig ( 512mb was included though, not bad ), 3g hspda ready, 2mp camera, pdf reader, mp3 player, radio station tuner, doc and excel reader, personal assistant, sms reading software (reads your text messages loudly) and the best of all.. Wifi ready!!

Now I also got a few gadgets that will go nicely with the new gaming system at home.

Finally! I have migrated/upgraded to wordpress 2.3.2 and everything went smoothly! The reason I postponed the upgrade was due to the incompatibility of the theme and its plugins with wordpress 2.3. Now with the plugin developed by Thomas, everything’s fine and dandy, so to speak. Still have to observe the site for a few days just to make sure no bugs appears

Now to upgrade the other sites I manage….*sigh*

Edit: I forgot to mention that the upgrade would not have been possible if not for the plugin made by Thomas. Thanks Thomas!

A BIIIIIG Congratulations to John T. Amor for getting a BIG break in the comic book world! His work will be published in one of the upcoming comic book, “Wonderlost”, this month, authored by none other than C.B. Cebulski! Having been classmates and close friends for as long as I can remember, I know this is one of his dreams coming true. With this gig, I know he will also be very busy.
