Been over a month since I last posted… been very busy from my job to my dad’s software. You can say I’m overworked and stressed to the limit, hahaha. Ah well, life… but I never said I didn’t have my good days for the past month. Lets just say I enjoyed the time I was away from my blog doing personal and life changing stuffs. =) Oh I forgot my blog just had its first birthday on July 4! Belated Happy Birthday to Lunaxis! hahah =p
Nothing much happened over a month and 10 days, went to Singapore July 1-4 and never got lost anymore. I would say Singapore would be on my top list to visit for _safety_ conscious visitors. The subways gets you places and you wont get lost that easy. If you ever get lost, just look for the nearest subway and find your way home =p
Nothing much changed in Singapore since I was there last year, except for new building and landmarks. The new tourist attraction there was called The Singapore Flyer, its a very large ferry’s wheel that takes 30 minutes to circle, you get to see around Singapore at the top most and I can’t suggest this to those who are afraid of heights.
July 10 Mamma Mia movie arrived here, a movie I have been wanting to see. Went to watch the movie on July 12 and I enjoyed the movie very much. Twas a very memorable and fun night. =)
Now I have to rearrange my schedule to fit in all the stuffs that’s happening so fast. I have projects from DOST as well as Simon’s (a software development company) that’s partnering with Wellmade to co-develop the inventory software I have developed for my dad. I have my WoW account finally unbanned and going have to set a time to play with K again during evenings. I have side projects to deliver and I have been back to the gym to get my leg back to strength after the operation (the wound has healed but I can’t stretch it like I used to before the operation).
Ahh life is sweet and bitter at the same time…well more on the sweet side =p
Well where to start… two weeks and three days in Taiwan, all expenses paid. What a trip and what an experience!! April 30 was our flight to Taipei, Taiwan and the departure time was 5AM. We used PAL since we had a large discount from our air fare, was sooo sleepy on the flight to Taiwan but I didn’t sleep since I was very excited.
The hospitality we were given in Taiwan was amazing! No words can describe the love and care the people there gave us, from the arrival in Taipei airport to the accommodation in Pu Men Temple was overwhelming! Everything was given to us on a silver platter, so to speak. We were treated like celebrities! Continue reading
Check out the trailer for our Taiwan show this coming May (~_^)V
Two and a half weeks trip to Taiwan for the musical play and I’m sooo excited! We leave for Taiwan on April 30.
Ok, its April already… and I’m starting to panic. One - I have lots of work not yet done and things to do, two - I have yet to find a person to help me manage the Linux servers for a “just in case” scenario when I’m away, three - our roadshow in Taiwan is fast approaching and everyone’s panicking!!, four - I have tasks to finish in Lexmark that I need to finish them before I leave, five - My W.o.W. account has yet to be reactivated since it suspension last month, six - ARRGH! I completely forgot I have to do some mods for K‘s site… ( K sooooo sorrry T___T )
Well… there it is.. I’m a complete mess and about to go over the edge and have a complete nervous breakdown…. (X__x)!!
P.S.: K, now I know how you felt a few months ago!! XD
The yearly summer camp for BLIA Young Adult Devision has finally come to Cebu this year. Last year was held in Boracay and was very fun. This year, the events are taken in different view. Selected or limited to few attendees only and an age limit of 16, the camp was pitched to cater to train the attendees in terms of leadership, cooperation and comradery.
The 3 days event held in the Temple was really an eye opening event for me and the attendees. Not only did we meet new friends but also get to see old familiar faces. Attendees came from Manila, Bacolod, Ilo-ilo and special guest from Siddhartha cast.
The first day was really amazing, we had a small Amazing race in Cebu City. We started from the temple, went to Fuente Rotunda, then to Magellan’s Cross in the city proper. Weird thing, I also had the chance to learn how to make “Puso”, hahahaha.
Overall.. I enjoyed the whole event. It was something different. I didn’t feel the competitiveness that usually comes when an activity like this is held every year. Now, everyone is enjoying the event and felt more of a family.
Next year will be in Manila and I hope I will be able to join this event.. unless I ran out of vacation leaves to use…
Looking back in the good old days where high speed internet was still a 28000 baud modem, consoles were as large as two shoe boxes side-by-side, TVs were as large as my current monitor, and games were 2-dimensional colored dots. *Sigh* The Good-Old-Days…
I started craving for the old games I played when I was young, especially Mario! Simple games that were fun and enjoyable, unlike the console we are using now that would have been used in a research lab looking for the cure of AIDS or HIV or what-not 15 years ago…
Went around the inter-web, googling for emulators and ROMS to play those old games. What luck that I happen to find a site the offered A LOT of those old school games from SNES. I was in heaven!! Mario! Megaman 1 – 6! Island Adventure 1-2! Ice Climber!! BATTLE CITY!!
What’s better than this? I don’t need to download any emulator to run the games! It runs off an emulated SNES off java applet! Thank You JAVA!!
If your an “old-schooler”, you should visit vnes. You wont regret it!
Finally! I have migrated/upgraded to wordpress 2.3.2 and everything went smoothly! The reason I postponed the upgrade was due to the incompatibility of the theme and its plugins with wordpress 2.3. Now with the plugin developed by Thomas, everything’s fine and dandy, so to speak. Still have to observe the site for a few days just to make sure no bugs appears
Now to upgrade the other sites I manage….*sigh*
Edit: I forgot to mention that the upgrade would not have been possible if not for the plugin made by Thomas. Thanks Thomas!
Few more days before Christmas… more deadlines to meet and more expenses… But also comes the company Christmas gifts, 13th month bonus, Christmas bonuses and a salary increase!! hahaha! Well what is Christmas without the “Giving” and the “Sharing” right? >=) So here’s MY Christmas wish-list =D
