My New GeForce 8800GTS!!

Just got the video card I ordered and the wait was worth it! The thing is huge! It take two slots for just the card and the fan… yes, the fan! The heatsink and the fan takes a whole slot! And another thing… it also need its own power supply (two connections) connected to it… talk about a power hog. The whole thing weigh close to a pound or two. I know this will last me 3 - 5 years of use

320MB 320bit GDDR3
Full DirectX 10 Shader Model 4.0 Support
TRUE 128-bit floating point high dynamic-range(HDR) lighting
Supports 2560×1600 resolution display!!

Below are pics I took when I opened the box. I also tried to compare the size of the video card to my PSP. At least this will let you have a size comparison.

Like I said.. this thing is HUGE!

LOL, we will see, we will see… most likely if it looks cool and good enough.. I’ll transfer… if not.. the version 2 of psp coming this sept will do

Wow, I’m really jealous. I bought a pretty nice PC about a year ago. I just needed a nice graphics card for it, but so far haven’t gotten around to budgeting it in. Enjoy, and uh, mail me your old graphics card, thanks!

Hi Paul, well I have been planning to upgrade my PC for over a year now and started saving at that time. I just hope this will last me more than 4 years LOL… and my old vid card, uh I have other plans for it hehe… I doubt it will run any of the graphic hogging games these days anyway

Yeah. I usually play games on the ol’ XBOX 360, but I played WOW for awhile, and my very lame, on-board graphics card was able to handle it with no problem! Congrats on your upgrade, if you were saving for a year, then you certainly deserve that card. Enjoy!
